MADWORKSHOP had spent the past long year working on a very exciting collaborative project called the MacArthur Floating School. Unfortunately, due to the crisis of COVID-19, we were forced to ultimately cancel the project until further notice.

Although the project was cancelled, the journey was well worth it. We are very grateful to all the visionary people and organizations from the neighborhood that have contributed towards this world class educational, cultural, and social program that would have been free to the public for three weeks in April 2020. We want to thank all our incredible partners for all the hard work and dedication that was put into the MacArthur Floating School: Kunle Adeyemi and NLÉ, CO Architects, USC School of Architecture, Clark Builds, Nabih Youssef Structural Engineers, Plane Site, and KGM Lighting.

Thank you to the students from LAUSD who participated by creating spectacular artwork illustrating what makes Los Angeles so amazing. Here are the wonderful entries of the artwork that the students have created.
