MADWORKSHOP provided presentation support for Lightscape, a feature-length film by artist Doug Aitken.

Premiering at Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles in November 2024, and on view at the Marciano Art Foundation from December 17, 2024-May 17, 2025, Lightscape was an immersive experience, occupying a huge indoor space lined with multiple projection screens.

Driven largely by music, the film features characters interacting with one another as they move through landscapes of the American West Coast. Aitken collaborated with the L.A. Master Chorale and the L.A. Philharmonic, and incorporated his own original compositions and those of Beck and others, to create a dreamlike experience for the viewer.
